The entrance looks great! What’s up with some of the perimeter fence and
the Bryant entrance homeowner fence that is down. Makes our neighborhood
look pretty slummed. Does the homeowners assoc. replace this or is it the
homeowner’s responsibility? Can’t beleive people do not take more pride in
their property.

Oklahoma fence law does not specify fence cost sharing, but it does specify a method of appointing ‘fence observers’ through the county sheriff’s department to settle disputes. It has become common practice, both in the country and in town, that when any two neighbors share a boundary fence, they normally share the expenses for both materials and labor.

The HOA maintains the mowing, trees, watering and utilities for the outside perimeter. The perimeter is the ‘picture frame’ around our neighborhood. This makes the community as a whole the outside neighbor to share fence expenses.

Since you choose to live in Brookhaven, there are common expenses for the neighborhood. Like you say, it’s just part of being a homeowner.
