So you have a little over a month to get ready.

Many hands make the work go fast. Volunteers are needed to help with fall
flower planting and flower bed and sprinkler maintenance work. Bring your
gloves and we’ll provide the rest.

This Friday Night July 14^th

the Brookhaven North neighborhood will be having a community social event. There will be an outdoor movie with free popcorn. We will also have an inflatable bounce house for the children. Come to the park this Saturday, June 5 for the BNHOA Annual Meeting.

This is a great time to sit in the shade and meet or catch up with your neighbors.

We will serve a BBQ lunch, so bring a side dish or dessert.

If you come, I promise not to wear my 1979 shirt again. See you there!

Let’s try to get together this Saturday (May 1) at 9:00 a.m. starting on Bryant and plant some flowers and check the sprinkler heads. There’s a 40 % chance for rain, so if it rains we will meet the following Saturday, May 8th.

Christmas Decorating Contest

Well the cold weather has hit us fast and as usual I had to wait for the coldest day of the year to put up my Christmas Lights. I always tell myself that next year I’ll climb the roof and create a display that Griswald himself would be jealous of! And then I see the giant ball of tangled lights in the box from the attic. Oh well maybe next year.

So let me be the first to say thank you to all the nieghbors who have braved the cold weather and decorated for the holdiay season! The neighborhood looks wonderful!

And for those of you still planning to decorate, put on your long johns and get out there in the weather soon because the association will be judging and awarding prizes.

Decorations will be judge in four categories

Best All around
Most Traditional
Most colorful
Most Animated

And yes I did mention CASH Prizes!

But even more exciting is the prestigious winners sign that will be posted in your yard.

Good luck everybody and if you need inspiration, the movie Family Vacation is being played over and over on station TBS.
