Notice to neighbors.
Last night, March 16th 2011, our vehicle was broken into and items were stolen, namely a 40 cal. hand gun, money and a black iphone case. There has been a police report filed.
Our concern is with spring break, there is the possiblilty of kids being out and about at night and we all know how dangerous a gun can be in inexperienced hands, so there is cause for concern.
There is the possiblity it was an adult or if it were kids that they may not live in Brookhaven North, until the crime is solve we won’t know.
I’m not trying to accuse anyone or their kids, I just feel it’s important if you have kids and especially if they had a sleep over last night, that it would be worth checking out to see if they stayed home all night long.
Personally considering I think of Brookhaven as a safe place to live, if I had to choose between an adult roaming the neighborhood breaking into vehicles or kids sneaking out of house with buddies that did it, I’d choose the kids. Yes a crime is a crime, but who did the crime in this case makes a difference for my safety level.
Keeping out an eye for a new black padded iphone case would be a good clue also.
We are not interested in pressing charges if you do find the items, safety is number one concern, but we would appreciate to have items returned. You are welcome to place items on porch in a secure bag if you want to remain anonymous. 2512 Brookhaven Drive.
Thank you
