As the election nears, this is just a reminder about sign policies at the entrances. I know we posted this a few years ago, so here it is again.
Campaign signs: Campaign signs are not allowed at the common entrances. Because we are a neighborhood with many political views, if signs were allowed then it would quickly become a clutter of signs. Feel free to post campaign signs in your own yard, within city and state guidelines. Most importantly, remember to go vote!
Garage sales: Please post your signs at the entrance no earlier than the evening before your sale and remember to take down your sign after your sale closes. Also remember to take down ‘arrows’ or other directional signs leading people to your sale.
Lost Pets: Please do not tape or adhere signs to the stop signs or utility poles. Please make a free standing sign and remember to take it down after two weeks. You can also email the president or webmaster and we will post a description of your pet on the website and burst out an email to all subscribers (mostly in neighborhood).
Home Sales: Realtors and homeowners, please post signs at the entrances only on the weekends and during open houses. There are always homes for sale in the neighborhood, if we allow signs during the entire duration of home listings then there would again be a clutter of signs.
Rental Signs: Rental signs at entrances are not allowed. Like home sales, there are always homes for rent in the neighborhood, if we allow signs during the entire duration of rental listings then there would again be a clutter of signs.
Business Signs: The covenants restrict Brookhaven from commercial operations, so no commercial signage is allowed.
Thank you for helping us keep the entrances clear and easy to maintain. We hope these policies balance maintenance with the need to advertise.
